What Do Replication Studies Mean for IES Funded Research?
In 2019, the Institute of Education Sciences (IES) established the Research Grants Focused on Systematic Replication and Research Grants Focused on Systematic Replication in Special Education programs. The goal of these programs is to support research that builds on prior evidence in order to better understand what interventions work for whom under what conditions. During this webinar, we invite IES Program Officers to explore the history of these grant programs, discuss the research- and practice-related challenges they seek to address, and describe the type of work that is being funded. Additionally, Principal Investigators from two funded grants will discuss their motivation for applying for a Systematic Replication grant, how they conceptualized their projects, and the current status of their research.
